1. Who we are
BillionMatch is operated by the BillionMatch team. We respect your privacy and keep collected data to the minimum needed to run the product.
2. Data we collect
Account email, display name, optional avatar image, hashed password, language preference, and subscription state. When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your email, display name, and provider user ID.
We log your IP address and user agent in security audit records to detect fraud and unauthorized access. Favorites, watchlists, support tickets, and notifications are stored against your account. Anonymized analytics are collected to improve performance and fix bugs.
3. How we use it
Personal data is used to authenticate you, sync your favorites and watchlist, deliver support replies, send transactional email (verification, password reset, billing receipts), and process billing through RevenueCat → Apple App Store or Google Play Billing. We never sell your data.
4. Who we share with
Trusted processors only: Apple, Google, RevenueCat (subscription state), Cloudinary (avatar hosting), our SMTP provider (transactional email), Sentry (crash reports, only when enabled). All processors are bound by data-protection contracts.
5. Data sources for billionaire content
Wealth rankings, biographical data, and net-worth movements are aggregated from Forbes via licensed APIs (Forbes RapidAPI). Public filings and exchange feeds may also be used. © Forbes Media LLC for source data.
6. AI-generated content
“AI Wealth Forecast” and similar commentary in the app are generated by large language models (OpenAI). AI-generated text is clearly labeled in the app and is provided for informational purposes only — it is not financial advice.
7. Storage & retention
Data lives in encrypted databases hosted in EU or US regions. Audit logs are retained for up to 12 months. You can request deletion at any time and we’ll remove your account and associated personal data within 30 days.
8. Your rights
Under GDPR / CCPA you can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data. The app exposes Account → Delete Account as the fastest path. Or contact support to start a manual request.
9. Children
BillionMatch is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has registered, contact support and we will remove the account.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
